This year Go Play – Brisbane's annual, free community gaming convention – is back at the State Library in a new space on Level 1.
Go Play is a celebration of all kinds of tabletop fun, from games set in well-known roleplay worlds to boardgames to indie RPGs. It's a weekend built for players of every experience level – from seasoned dice rollers to total newbies – where some of Brisbane’s best GMs volunteer to bring unique worlds and adventures to life.
Go Play is a place where strangers sit down at a table together and quickly become allies as their characters take shape, quests unfold and new stories spark to life in every corner of the room. Expect a welcoming and relaxed-but-buzzing vibe as players, old and new, weave unforgettable stories together.
We'd love you to join us for a weekend of roleplaying games, boardgames and more – completely free of charge – Saturday October 31 to Sunday November 1.
"What's Go Play?" you ask...
Go Play is a free tabletop roleplaying convention held in Brisbane each year (although we had to skip a few for pandemic reasons). But Go Play has been back at the State Library of Queensland for several years now, but this year instead of being held at The Edge, we'll be on Level 1 of the State Library. Come along and join the fun, creative and collaborative gaming, no matter your level of experience.
We offer an inclusive, safe and supportive space where everyone is welcome. We have Hearth Wardens watching over everyone on the day to ensure our strict code of conduct is adhered to and ensure you feel safe. Our GMs are ready to help novices out, so not knowing the rules won't get in the way of your fun.
With the wildly creative scope of games on offer each year, there's bound to be the perfect game for you. Stay tuned as we'll add the games to chose from this year very soon.
