Go Play is a con powered by generosity of spirit. It’s run entirely by volunteers – starting with the Go Play Team, who spend months behind the scenes making sure the weekend runs smoothly. Then there’s the State Library of Queensland, who generously give our con a home each year. And our talented GMs, who gift their time and imagination to turn empty tables into adventuring parties: time travellers, demon hunters, talking dogs, Pride and Prejudice–era dowager aunties, and so much more.
These snapshots show the heart of Go Play – open doors, open tables, and a spirit of fun where everyone’s welcome to roll on in and roll for initiative.
Go Play brings together people who love to roleplay. There’s nothing like being in a room of players as invested in your hobby as you are, sharing our imaginations and creative ideas, and collaborating to build an experience.

- An even temper and supportive nature
- A great story idea
- Enough familiarity with your game system to run the session smoothly on the day.
We highly recommend making sure you book yourself in as a player for some sessions too. Take a break and let another of our talented GMs inspire you.
