Go Play 2025 was a huge success … and we’ll be back late 2026.
Each year, we hold Brisbane's beloved – and free – gaming con 'Go Play' at The Edge at the State Library of Queensland.
Word is spreading and Go Play is growing and evolving: every year, we have more attendees, more games, more laughs and more adventures than ever before. Our event aims to be as inclusive as possible: everyone is welcome!
Next time Go Play comes around, we'd love you to come along and join us for a fun weekend of roleplaying games, boardgames and more, completely free of charge. While our event began as purely a roleplaying con – and that's definitely still what Go Play is all about with 14 dedicated roleplay game tables and 4 sessions across the weekend that were booked up within days of opening player registration at Go Play 2025 – we've also added a boardgames section where game developers introduce you to new games or you can choose to play a classic. We truly believe there's something for everyone to play at Go Play from long-time gamers to first time players.

"What's Go Play?" you ask...
Go Play is a free tabletop roleplaying convention held in Brisbane each year (although we had to skip a few for pandemic reasons). But Go Play returns to The Edge at the State Library of Queensland. Come along and join the fun, creative and collaborative gaming, no matter your level of experience.
We offer an inclusive, safe and supportive space where everyone is welcome. We have Hearth Wardens watching over everyone on the day to ensure our strict code of conduct is adhered to and ensure you feel safe. Our GMs are ready to help novices out, so not knowing the rules won't get in the way of your fun.
With the wildly creative scope of games on offer each year, there's bound to be the perfect game for you. Stay tuned as we'll add the games to chose from this year very soon.
